Kameelah Janan Rasheed is a self-taught photographer, arts & culture journalist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. The former Amy Biehl Fulbright Scholar to South Africa is the co-founder of Mambu Badu, a photography collective for women of African descent, an Assistant Editor of Interviews and Photography for Specter Magazine and a Visual Arts writer for The Liberator Magazine. Her writing has appeared in various publications such as The Nation (online) and Pambazuka: Pan African Voices for Freedom and Justice.
